The Welsh Springer Spaniel is a breed that has features that are distinct to its breed, as well as features that are common to spaniels. The breed has an average size head and long muzzle with a definite stop. The crown of its head has some roundness. The eyes and nose are usually dark brown in color and medium in size. The ears are long and hang down past the jaw line. Its neck is elongated and angles to its straight back and somewhat sloping shoulders. Its chest is deep. The tail on this breed is docked.
