 STANDARD SCHNAUZER DESCRIPTION
The Standard Schnauzer is a breed with a well-developed body. The breed's head is very distinct. It is wedge-shaped and somewhat long. It features ears that are triangular in shape and set high on its head. The ears are average in size. The breed's muzzle is long and tapers towards the nose. It has a vague stop. The eyes are dark (usually a shade of brown) and average in size. The nose is also dark in color, but larger than average. The back is slightly sloping at the shoulders and very strong. It is shorter than it is tall. The neck is very thick and elongated to the back. The breed's legs are muscular and medium in length. The front legs are very straight and the back legs are angled. The breed has a distinguishable coat that is wiry and very coarse. The coat is thicker at the top layer and smoother and coarse at the bottom layer.
