 OTTERHOUND DESCRIPTION
A distinctive characteristic of the Otterhound is its massive head. The head is moderately long and has a vague stop. It has dark facial features. The ears are moderately long and hang down past the chin. The breed has a straight back with a tail that is both set and carried high. The neck is very muscular and slightly angles to the back. The legs are well balanced. The front legs are straight and the back legs are angular. The hocks are well muscled. The breed's coat, which is distinctive, has two layers.
