 NEWFOUNDLAND DESCRIPTION
The Newfoundland is a strong and muscular breed. It has a large head with well-developed bone structure. It has ears that are small in relation to the rest of its body. The ears hang down and fold in toward the face. With small, dark brown eyes the breed has an expressive and gentle face. There is a definite stop and a moderate muzzle. It has a well-developed chest that extends wide and long. The very thick neck extends to a back that is muscular and straight. The tail fits the body well as it hangs at the hocks. The front and back legs are fairly long and well muscled. The breedтАЩs coat is probably its most distinguishing feature. It is very thick and somewhat long.
