The Lapponian Herder is a herding dog. It has an average build and well developed muscles. Its head is large with a definite stop. The facial features are dark. The ears are set moderately wide and are average in size. As with the remainder of the body, the neck is well muscled and extends naturally to the shoulders. Its chest is deep and somewhat broad.
