ABOUT DOG BREEDS
 CHINOOK DESCRIPTION
Strength is a prominent feature of the Chinook. It was developed as a sled dog and thus has a build that enables it to perform this task with ease. It has a slender, but muscular structure. The back is straight and extends to sloping hindquarters. Its tail normally hangs loosely downward. When the dog is at attention the tail is almost parallel to the back. The head is moderately large with a long muzzle. The facial features are dark. The breed has a double coat, which consists of a soft and thick undercoat and coarse and straight topcoat. The coat tends to be more prevalent at the underside of the tail and collar.  Read More
