At first sight, the Bedlington Terrier could easily be mistaken for a very tall and lean lamb. Its short coat, which is typically blue and tan or sandy and tan, is one of its most distinctive features. It is coarse, but manageable. Its head is and narrow and rounded at the crown. The ears are short and hang close to the sides of the head. The nose, eyes, and mouth are large and usually dark. The fur on the head is usually longer and slightly curly.
