ABOUT DOG BREEDS
 ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIEL DESCRIPTION
The English Springer Spaniel has solid features that enable it to move through a dense hunting environment with swiftness and agility. Its torso is average size and generally longer than it is tall. The forelegs are straight while the hindlegs are angular. The tail extends from its level back and is typically docked. It has a long neck upon which its head of equal length is settled. The ears, which are feathered, hang down loosely at the sides of its head. The facial features are average in size and give the breed a gentle look. The coat is one of its most eye-catching features. It has a contrasting double coat: the top coat is wavy and smooth, while the undercoat is coarse and closer to its body. The fur is profuse from the chest down to the front of the hindlegs.  Read More
