Wrinkles on its massive head are the distinctive quality of the Dogue de Bordeaux. Its general appearance is harsh. The body is somewhat low to the ground and massive. It is not overweight, but its muscular build and short stature gives it the look. Another distinct quality of the breed is its mouth.
