The Bluetick Coonhound has typical hound characteristics. Its muzzle is in proportion with its head, but wide and average in length. Its eyes are round in shape and set normal. The breed stands on well-muscled and straight front legs and hindlegs that are slightly angled. The hocks are also slightly angled.
