Very few dogs can compare to the powerful stature of the American Pit Bull Terrier. Viewing the dog from the front, the strapping frontquarters are in plain sight. The head is massive and has a wedge shape. Females tend to have a less chiseled head. The skull is slightly angled down into a deep, long muzzle.
