Description
The West Highland White Terrier is a small breed with a very distinct appearance. Its head, which is covered with or profuse amount of fur, is well proportioned. Its face features a short muzzle and a large nose that is black in color. Somewhat obscured by its coat, the breed's neck is well defined and transitions to its back that is very straight. It has a chest that is very deep. The tail on this breed is medium in length and carried erect. The breed's hind legs are well muscled and angular in position. The front legs, like the back legs are shorter than average and straight. The coat of this breed is very straight.
Temperament
The West Highland White Terrier is a very expressive and happy breed. It is friendly with everyone. However, it may terrorize small pets in its home by chasing them. The breed will show displeasure if teased, so it does best with older children. This breed loves games and is highly responsive to training. It loves spending time with its family and will stay close to them as much as possible.
