Description
The strength and power of the Vizsla is evident in the breed's appearance. Its back legs are well angled with muscular thighs to enable it to move with speed and agility. The breed's front legs are also strong, but straight in their position. Its short coat that is smooth and thick is also one of its distinguishing features. The breed has a head that is full and slender. Its muzzle is wide with a definite stop. The breed has dark brown facial features. The ears are long and hang at the sides of its head. The breed's neck is elongated, strong, and angles to its straight back that is shorter than average. The breed's tail is docked.
Temperament
The Vizsla is a breed that is energetic, obedient, and devoted. The breed is generally friendly, but should be trained early to prevent it from becoming timid around people. Its gentle nature makes it a good companion for children. However, supervision is recommended when the breed interacts with very young children. This breed is responsive to training. It is also an effective guard dog.
