Description
The Thai Ridgeback Dog is a breed of average size. It has a medium-size head with a square muzzle. The eyes and nose are set at eye level and spread wide apart. The ears are v-shaped. It has a well-muscled neck that extends smoothly to its level back. The limbs are somewhat shorter than average. The front legs are always positioned straight. There is angulation in the back legs. The breed's tail normally curls up toward its back. Its coat is short in length.
Temperament
The temperament of the Thai Ridgeback depends largely on its breeding environment. Types that are bred in its home of Thailand tend to have an intense hunting nature. If these types are acquired in the United States as puppies, socialization training can help to make them better family pets. The types that are bred in the U.S. are more sociable. This breed is an effective watchdog. The breed should do fine with older children and visitors to the home.

The Thai Ridgeback Dog is about 20-24 inches tall and weighs 51-75 pounds.
