| Description |
| The all-white coat and muscular build are the most outstanding characteristics of the Dogo Argentino. The head is large and round in shape with a moderate muzzle. The ears are set wide and are typically cropped when the dog is a puppy. The neck is not too long, but very muscular. The prominent jaw is evident from its profile. Its all-white coat is smooth and shiny and close to its body. The dark facial features stand out against the white coat. It body has strong and well-developed muscles in the hocks as well as in the front and back legs. The tail is long and hangs low past the hocks. The chest is deep. |

| Temperament |
| As long as it receives early training, the Dogo Argentino can be a loving and devoted dog to all of its family members, including other pets in the household. Despite its size, it can actually be a good playmate for children. Of course, supervision is recommended with the very young. It responds well to training and will follow just about any instruction its owner commands, as long as it senses its owner is firm. It is not a willing participant in violent behavior, but may become aggressive if another dog attempts to test its strength or powerfulness. |
